Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all. Proverbs 31:29
I came across this photo the other day and thought it was pretty enlightening. While it's not always easy being a stay at home mom, OK I'm not going to sugar coat this position, it's the most difficult, least appreciated job on the planet...but with that said, I am very thankful and a truly blessed woman that I can be there to love and nurture our girls during this very important stage of their life.
As a mother, Our life is given to taking care of people, small ones to begin with, whose wants never seem to cease. Sometimes when my days seem to be taken up with wiping things, dishes and sinks, little runny noses, tears, I wonder about what fulfillment is supposed to mean for me. I wonder about being, besides the perfect wife and mother the hostess with the mostest, creative, intellectually productive, beautiful, and slowly my dreams seem to evaporate.
That's when I have to STOP!!!! Stop listening to the world around me and realize there is absolutely nothing more important in this world than the time I spend with my precious girls. Mildred B. Vermont says it beautifully "being a full-time mother is one of the highest salaried jobs in my field, since the payment is pure love."
Being a mother is the most rewarding gift God could have ever given me. - How wonderful and gracious He is! When my dreams seem to get locked up in these worldy ideas, I must remember, my job as a mother is priceless & beyond compare!
Her children arise and call her blessed. Proverbs 31:28a
