Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 1 Corinthians 13:7Do we really know what it means to "bear all things?" Yes, this is the right and Christian thing to do. But truth be told it is probably one of the most difficult things to do, because it requires us to empty ourselves and set our own emotions and feelings aside in order to love the way God intends us to do.
Bearing all things means sticking by the one's you love and encouraging them even if you are frustrated with them. It's doing what's right. Especially when we don't feel like it, because you love them and you want to honor God.
Jesus is the ultimate example of what it means to "bear all things" in order to show His love for us, he made the ultimate sacrafice. Just as it was for him, it will be painful, and it will include dying to your flesh. However when we bear each others burdens we are loving those around us the way Jesus showed his love to the world.
Turning to the Lord for help in my life is the only way to bear the crosses that I have been given. Through these personal trials, I know God is trying to draw me closer to him.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippans 4:13
